Avenue Under 12's.
The Avenue Under 12 team had a great win away to Oranmore Maree in the SFAI Cup. in a hard fought game that ended 3-3 after extra time, Avenue came out on top in the penalty shootout with the Avenue goalkeeper saving two of the first three penalties, while Avenue scored all theirs.
Avenue Youths
Avenue Youths had a good win over a strong Leeds (Cork) team in the SFAI Youths Cup. Avenues scored early in the first half and were well worth their lead at half-time. Leeds started the second have in a determined fashion and pushed hard for an equaliser but the Avenue defence held strong. Avenue scored their second goal with twenty minutes to go in the game, a good move down the left set Darra Keirns free and the winger slipped the ball under the Leeds Keeper to seal the win.
Avenue Under 17's.
Avenue Under 17 host Mervue United U17 in the Quarter Final of the U17 FAI Cup next Saturday 3rd of March, at 2pm in Doora.
